COREN & ICPC STRENGTHEN PARTNERSHIP ON 14TH AUGUST, 2025.

Today, 14th August 2025, at the ICPC Headquarters, Abuja, the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) signed an amended Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to reinforce transparency, accountability, and integrity in engineering practice.

The amendment became necessary following recent changes to the COREN Act and the need to tackle unethical practices, quackery, and corruption in the Engineering sector.

COREN President, Engr. Prof. Sadiq Z. Abubakar, FNSE, FAEng, reaffirmed COREN’s commitment to ensuring that only duly registered professionals practice engineering in Nigeria.

ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Aliyu, SAN, pledged the Commission’s support in investigating and prosecuting corruption-related offences in engineering while ensuring compliance with ethical and professional standards.

Together, COREN and ICPC are working to safeguard the engineering profession and promote sustainable infrastructure development in Nigeria.
