Engr. Wopa Kamila Maliki, FNSE, mni- Registrar of COREN
Engr. Maliki Wopa Kamila is the Registrar of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria.
Until this present appointment, he was the Director, Water Resources Engineering Service, Ministry of Water Resources, Kwara State and in charge of the Kwara State Water Turn-Around Programme.
He has over the years acquired experience in various aspects of engineering project supervision, construction and procurement services, in the civil service of the Kwara State. He served as a member of several project team in the State, such as KWHA Complex, Kwara State Library, Secretariat Phase II & III etc projects . He was directly in charge of Mechanical Engineering Service design and supervision of several capital projects in the State. In 2003, as a mark of recognition of his astute qualities as an engineer and administrator, Engr. Kamila was appointed the General Manager of the Kwara State Water Corporation
Engr. Kamila became a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) in 1997 and, in the same year, registered as a Mechanical Engineer with Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He has served the NSE as a member of the ILORIN branch Executive Committee in various capacities culminating to the position of Chairman in 2006. He was a member of the COREN ERM Committee in Ilorin Zone, where he also served as the COREN Supervising Engineer from 2002-2013.
Engr. Kamila attended the Government Secondary School, Malete between January 1973 and June 1977. He also studied at Kwara State College of Technology, Ilorin and acquired the Higher National Diploma. With the zeal to further his education, he proceeded to the then Anambra State University of Science and Technology, Enugu where he bagged the Post Graduate Diploma and Master in Engineering in 1988 and 1990 respectively. Engr. Kamila took time off his busy schedule to study for a Master in Public Administration certificate of the University of Ilorin in 2003.
He was nominated to attend the Senior Executive Course 28 of the prestigious National institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru-Jos in 2006 and thus became a member of the national institute (mni). He was also conferred with the fellowship award of NSE in November 2010.
Engr. Kamila, a professional engineer and seasoned administrator is married with children.

Olusegun Oladokun, FCA
Olusegun Oladokun is the Chief Accountant of COREN. He hails from Idepe-Okitipupa, Ondo State of Nigeria. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). A product of Methodist High School, Okitipupa in Ondo State and the Federal Polytechnic,Ado-Ekiti in the current Ekiti State. He served as a lecturer at Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti and latter to Coates Brothers (WA) Ltd., Agidingbi, Ikeja. He served the defunct Turning Point Newspapers, Ijora, Lagos before joining COREN, his present employer. He bagged the Lecturer of the year award from the Dramatic and Theatre Club of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti in 1991. ACADEMIC AWARDS BEST STUDENT IN “DUTIES OF INSPECTORS” AT THE FEDERAL CO-OPERATIVE COLLEGE, IBADAN (1977/1978). Engr. Alhassan A. Aliyu, FNSE
Engr. Alhassan A. Aliyu,FNSE,MNIM,FCAI,MNICE, was born in Minna on the 28th of July 1961. He attended Government College Sokoto between 1973 and 1977. He obtained OND and HND in Civil Engineering from the Kaduna Polytechnic and Federal Polytechnic Bida in1981 and 1984 respectively. In 1990 Engr. Aliyu proceeded to the Loughborough University, England where he obtained an MSc in Urban Engineering in 1992.
Engr. Aliyu started work with the Niger State government in 1981 as an Assistant Technical Officer in the Ministry of Works Minna and rose to the position of Director Civil Engineering Services in 2004.He joined COREN in 2011 and is currently the Ag. Deputy Registrar (Engineering). Engr. Aliyu has attended several courses in Nigeria and abroad. He is also a member of several professional bodies.
He is happily married with two children.

Mr. Animosahun A. Kamardeen.
Born in Oyo town in Oyo State on 3rd April, 1957, Mr. Animosahun A. Kamardeen is the Head of Administration Department of COREN. He had his secondary education at Oranyan Grammar School, Oyo, between 1971 and 1975. He attended the University of Ibadan from where he obtained a. B.Ed Degree in Physics and Mathematics. He later attended the prestigious Administrative Staff College of Nigeria where he obtained the Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration with distinction.
He taught Physics and Mathematics at various levels of education including a brief stint as a lecturer at the Physics Department of the Usman Dan Fodiyo University, Sokoto.
He joined COREN in 2003 as the Head of Administration Department.

Engr. M.U. Adoyi, MNSE, MNIM
Engr. Matthias (Mayas) Ugwu Adoyi was born on 27th July, 1965 in lpole Ugbugbu Owukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State of Nigeria. He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Benin in 1987. He also holds an MBA in Management from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His previous places of work include the Benue State Polytechnic and the Nigerian Coal Corporation. He is currently the Head of Education and Training Department of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN, as Chief Assistant Registrar. Here, he oversees the activities of Accreditation, Continuing Professional Development, Professional Interview among others. Engr. Mayas Adoyi also functions as the Secretary of the Main Organising Committee of the annual COREN Engineering Assembly and the Editor of the COREN Newsletter. He is a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and a Chattered Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management. Engr. Adoyi is a team player, enjoys reading and football. He is married with children.

Mrs.Ayoola Taiwo Obafunmi
Born on the 15th November, 1969 to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy. She had her Primary education at Mount Carmel Covenant School,E/B, Lagos and her Secondary Education at Wesley Girls Secondary School, Yaba, Lagos respectively. She obtained a B.A (Hons.) English degree in 1994 at Ogun State University,Ago-Iwoye and later attended University of Lagos where she bagged a Master Degree (M.A Hons.) in Literature. She is a member of Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM) since 2003 and Nigerian Institute of Personnel Management(Student-Member) in 2000. She joined COREN in 1998 as an Assistant Registrar. She was posted to Warri Zonal Office as the pioneer Zonal Officer. Mrs. Obafunmi returned to COREN Head Office as a Senior Assistant Registrar in 2003.Presently, A.T.Obafunmi(Mrs.) is the Chief Assistant Registrar and Head of Registration Department at the COREN Head Office. She has attended several courses such as Management Adminitration,Computer information System, Communications e.t.c within and outside the Country.

Engr. Peter Awunde, MNSE
Peter Awunde was born on 20th October, 1976 at Naka, Gwer-West L.G.A of Benue State. He completed his secondary school at Govt. Secondary School Maina, Lafia Nassarawa State. He further attended the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi where he obtained a B.ENG (Electrical/Electronics). He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education. He taught in many international Schools and worked with many IT firms in Abuja before joining COREN where he is currently the head of Information Technology.
He has attended many Courses locally and internationally some of which include;
